On the 1st of October to the 10th of October 2015. A team from Cabramatta Anglican Church had the privilege to go to Philippines and join OM for a short term mission. What was seen and experienced was nothing short of amazing. God is doing great work in the world and we got to witness this first hand in the poorest areas of Manila. Definitely a life changing experience.

The highlight of the trip was getting a chance to visit a Vietnamese boat people refugee camp near Baataan. I met some friendly Pinoys too. The food was great. The transportation readily available. And the landscape extremely beautiful. There are plenty to see and do as well. -------------------------------------------------- About Me: I'm Kyle Le and I live, travel, and eat in Vietnam and many Asian countries. On Day 5 in the Philippines, along with Anton and his family, we flew to the island of Boracay to spend 2 days. Things didn’t go quite as planned, as our first flight was canceled, but we did end up making it to Boracay at the end of the day, and then got checked into Discovery Shores Hotel. Anton’s YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/antondiaz 00:30 Going to the Airport - We took a taxi in the morning to the airport, and arrived and checked in. The line and security was pretty tight, but didn’t take too long. 2:08 Flight Canceled and Rebooked - Cebu Pacific is notorious in the Philippines for delayed and canceled flights, and today was no different. We were supposed to fly from Manila to Caticlan, but our flight was canceled, and we had to re-route on another flight to Kalibo...

The Iranian Embassy siege took place from 30 April to 5 May 1980, after a group of six armed men stormed the Iranian embassy in South Kensington, London. The gunmen took 26 people hostage—mostly embassy staff, but several visitors and a police officer, who had been guarding the embassy, were also held. The hostage-takers, members of an Iranian Arab group campaigning for Arab national sovereignty in the southern region of Khūzestān Province, demanded the release of Arab prisoners from jails in Khūzestān and their own safe passage out of the United Kingdom. The British government quickly resolved that safe passage would not be granted, and a siege ensued. Over the following days, police negotiators secured the release of five hostages in exchange for minor concessions, such as the broadcast...
